City Sand 2010: Come join the fun, and help support BAF

From City Sand 2009The Baltimore Architecture Foundation is currently signing up teams for its annual City Sand competition.  Come and enjoy a day in the sun at Harborplace, and compete with other teams from local architecture, engineering and design firms to build the best themed sand sculpture in Baltimore. This year’s sand competition will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Harborplace by remembering the 1980’s.  So start thinking about those iconic 80’s styles or memorable Inner Harbor events. We also have several new additions this year to make the event even more exciting and fun:

  • From City Sand 2009Teams will can take part in a sand clinic taught by an award winning sand sculpture to learn gravity defying sand sculpting techniques
  • Enjoy an after party on the Harborplace veranda overlooking the Inner Harbor and get to know your competitors
  • Additional awards and prizes including highest sculpture and most daring sculpture

We are currently signing up teams until June 1st, so hurry and don’t miss out on this Baltimore architecture tradition. If your firm has participated in the past please do so again, and defend your honor. If your firm has never participated, come check it out and see the fun you have been missing. It’s a great way to meet friends and show your competitors who the best designers really are!
