Design Collective Continues Lessons at Patterson Park Public Charter School

Design Collective recently returned to the Patterson Park Public Charter School with a series of five lessons where students got to envision a new community center at Patterson Park from research and site analysis to site design. After the project, the students received a tour of Pierce’s Park and visited the Design Collective office.

The Design Collective and Patterson Park Public School partnership is through the Kids In Design/Future Architects Resources Adopt-A-School Program. The Adopt-A-School program fosters partnerships between local architecture firms and Baltimore City schools. Through these close knit partnerships, design professionals and educators work together to create comprehensive lessons about architecture with a focus on Baltimore neighborhoods, encouraging students to think big about their communities and expand their horizons to careers in design.
