Baltimore, Maryland 21251

As documented by the Federal Writers’ Project in the 1930s, the industrial landscape of Northeast Philadelphia formed a coherent geography, one that lent itself to touristic display and revealed meaningful and unique characteristics about Philadelphians and their way of life. But dramatic declines in population, large-scale losses of building stock and the deterioration of public infrastructure, has now made this same landscape confusing and intimidating for those who are outsiders to it. Join Dr. Campo as he walks us through the place that once was the "Workshop of the World."

Montebello Complex

Montebello Complex is located on the South Campus of Morgan State University. Montebello is primarily an administrative and office building. The Institute of Architecture and Planning (IAP) is the only academic program in the complex. The IAP occupies the B-wing on the first and second level.
