Libraries on the Tour:

The George Peabody Library, designed to be A Cathedral of Books, has a historic collection spanning five centuries of knowledge.

The Arthur Friedheim Library is the music library of the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.

The Enoch Pratt Free Library’s Central Library is the main branch of the nation’s first library system, with resources that span the globe and the centuries, as well as providing up to the minute research capabilities.

The Maryland Historical Society’s Library focuses on research about all things Maryland; although history and genealogy predominate, there are many other facets to the collection.

In the Manuscript Room at the Walters Art Museum, with its superb illuminated manuscripts, you will return to the days of books for the wealthy before the printing press brought the written word to all people.

Note that the each tour is limited to 20 people.
