Beyond the Boardwalk: Favorite Summertime Activities
Theme: Teams are encouraged to build a sand sculpture representing a fun summertime activity.
Time: Saturday, June 23, 2007 12-4pm at Harborplace (we may move the location from the traditional amphitheater location due to construction at Harborplace)
Prizes: Two sets of prizes awarded to both Judge’s choice and People’s choice winners. The Grand prize is a 3-night stay for two at Marriott Marco Island Resort Golf Club and Spa in San Marco, FL. Other prizes include gift certificates from Harborplace Merchants.
Rules: Each team will be provided with an area of sand approximately 10’x10’x1’ in which to build. Only hand tools and water can be used for construction of the forms. No power tools, paint, additives, armatures, or framework allowed. Water will be provided on site.
Entry: Teams with at least one BAF member—FREE, teams without a BAF member must pay a $50 registration fee

The National Aquarium in Baltimore will celebrate Beyond the Boardwalk, a series of events celebrating ocean life and sharing ways to protect it, will take place June 9, 16 & 23 at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Previously called Ocean Awareness Days and held in Ocean City, Maryland, this is the first year activities will extend to Baltimore.
